Inspired by the ancient Chinese love of gardens and scholar’s objects as reflections of nature, the LUNA series embodies the idea of bringing the distant close. Its form recalls the moon — waxing and waning, shaping tides, guiding harvests, and symbolising reunion.

When filled, the cup reveals subtle landscapes: whisky and tea glow with golden tones across the lunar surface, while coffee brings out earthy contrasts of “moon mountains” and “moon seas.” The design — a short, slightly waisted tumbler — feels secure in the hand and free in use.

Every piece carries its own variations, echoing Birthmark’s philosophy: to let material and process leave their natural 痣, or birthmark, on the vessel. Available in clear and frosted finishes, it reveals different “lunar” moods as whisky, tea, or coffee plays with light and shadow.
