Founded in 2007, yumiko iihoshi porcelain is designed and produced by Yumiko Iihoshi around the idea of working on the border between handmade and manufactured tableware. Original colours and forms are produced with potteries across Japan, combining reliable everyday construction with the individual character created through manual processes.
JDV’s current selection includes cups, plates and bowls in clearly defined sizes so each form can be considered on its own, while related sizes remain connected within each series. UNJOUR follows the rhythm of a day; DISHES explores proportion and depth in collaboration with Kimura Glass; ReIRABO reinterprets traditional Irabo glaze for contemporary use; and OVAL offers deeper elongated forms for a wide range of dishes.
