This piece is part of Bread, Rice, and…, a tableware project created in collaboration with Mio Hishinuma, registered dietitian and food specialist.

Designed to complement both Western and Japanese cuisine, the collection reflects Mio’s thoughtful approach to everyday eating—where food, vessels, and daily rituals come together naturally. Developed through visits to kilns in the Mino region, each piece is shaped by a shared belief that well-considered tableware brings meals to life.True to its name, this small bowl carries a quiet charm. Its softly rounded form and matte finish sit effortlessly alongside other tableware, creating a calm and cohesive table setting.

It is equally suited to shared meals—often becoming a favourite bowl for children at the table. Simple, balanced, and considered, it is a piece that naturally finds its place in everyday use.
