Our veggie candle is more than just a candle – it is like a small fireplace. Doing it the Hetkinen way, there is of course a wooden wick in the candle. From the tree species, we decided to use Finnish aspen as the wick of the candle. Aspen burns with a beautiful, silent, and safe flame.

Wooden wick requires a bit more from the user than a normal wick candle. When you remember to trim the black part away from the wick between burns, you will always have a candle that burns beautifully.

The vegetable wax in the candle contains spruce resin that burns cleanly and without emissions. Between using the candle, the melted wax creates beautiful layers in the candle, just like annual rings in a tree.

Usage
How to burn a wood wick candle? Only burn candle for a maximum of 3 hours at once. Trim aspen woodwick to around 5mm before lighting and between each burn. Burns for up to 40 hours

How to
The first burn is the most important because you have to give your veggie wax candle enough burning time to develop a melted wax pool that goes all the way to the edge of the glass jar on the first use.
